New Year's Resolutions- goal setting and sticking to your resolutions
Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to 2018! We know a lot of you will be looking to set goals, after all, new year, new you- right? But goals can be hard to achieve, a lot gets left behind as you go on. This is usually because they aren’t SMART goals. So let's look at how you can set some goals, and stick to them!
What's a SMART goal?
Well, a SMART goal is as follows...
Smart - What is it that you want to achieve? Why? When? What are your conditions and limitations?
Measurable - What do you want to feel, see or hear when you reach your goal? What will say you did it?
Attainable - Is your goal realistic? If it’s a massive goal break it down into achievable steps so you don’t give up when it all seems too big.
Relevant - Is your goal something that is relevant to you? Do you have the skills, the personality, the ability?
Timely - set yourself deadlines. Break up your goal into easy to manage bits and keep yourself accountable.
