We have focused a lot of attention lately on caring for the skin on your face, but there are other areas that can be prone to breakouts and that need caring for as well. Today we will be focusing on talking about how to look after your neck, chest and back so as to keep them clear and blemish free!
Caring for your neck and chest - We all cleanse and moisturise regularly but how many of us take that down to our neck, or even our chest? The skin on these areas is quite thin and can age much faster than the skin on the rest of our body.
Our chest needs regular moisturising as it is exposed to the sun regularly, and is prone to becoming damaged and dry. Did you know your chest produces less oil than other areas of your skin? So, be sure to keep it hydrated and protected with sun cream, and try to keep it covered as much as you can in the middle of the day.
Caring for your back - Our back is an area we often neglect- after all, out of sight, out of mind, right? Anyone who suffers from skin breakouts will tell you that the back is one of the most prone areas.
The skin on your back can be one of the oiliest areas on your body- it is subjected to a lot of product, such as shampoo and conditioner residue, and sun cream. So it’s important to invest in a long-handled exfoliating brush and make sure you exfoliate your back regularly. Also ensure that you fully wash off any shampoo and conditioner you have used.
If your skin is breaking out on your back it is essential that you don’t try and pick at or pop the pimples. Instead, you need to use a spot treatment such as our Clear Blemish Relief.
Also using a good quality SPF will protect your skin from sun damage.
Next week we are going to be talking about caring for your skin as the season changes as summer will be ending and autumn is taking over. That cool, dry wind can be harsh on the skin so we will share our top tips to combat it.
See you next time!
