5 pieces of advice to give your friend who’s struggling with breakouts

Hi guys,

We all know when your skin breaks out, it sucks and can make someone feel insecure.  This week, we are going to gear you up with the best advice on how to help a friend who is struggling with unwanted blemishes.

1) Be there for them
Unwanted breakouts can bring unwanted feelings. Many people who are suffering from blemishes may also suffer from insecurities, low confidence and depression. Instead of giving your friend the typical set of compliments in the hope of making them feel better, talk through their feelings with them and try to understand what they’re feeling.

2) Tell your friend to wipe her make up off before bed
There’s no shame in admitting it; we’re all guilty of having slept in our makeup once or twice. However, women with glowing skin tend to be more diligent with removing their make-up at night. Catching up with some shut eye whilst wearing war paint  can be pretty damaging to your skin health, yes, even if it only happens occasionally. Concealer and especially foundation clogs the pores and naturally irritates the skin (shocker!).   Advise your friend to be more proactive with removing makeup before going to bed. Why not recommend our customer favourite Proactiv Makeup Cleansing Wipes that have made an exclusive return online?

3) Advise them to moisturise
Keep a water or moisturiser spritz at your desk, in your car or at the gym to keep skin refreshed! Or get them to give the Proactiv+ Complexion Perfecting Hydrator a try. With rich botanicals and anti-aging benefits such as even skin tone, smooth texture, smaller appearing pores and increased hydration, the skin can maintain a dewy, radiant glow for all ages.

4) Have a pamper sleepover
What better way to have fun whilst clearing your pores than a have a pamper sleep over with your best friends? Invite a group of pals over and relax! Give each other skin masks with the Proactiv+ Skin Purifying Mask and DIY manicures. The skin masks will help clear pores, blemishes and help prevent breakouts.

5) Advise them to get a lot of light
Tell them to take advantage of the Spring sunlight! Sunshine can help your mood, gives you vitamin D and helps with your sleep patterns. If you don’t get enough sunlight it can affect the quality of your sleep, which can lead to circles, dry skin and an irritable mood.

We hope you enjoyed the advice, next week wee are going to be discussing 5 myths about blemishes you may have heard!

See you then!
