1. What is the recommended Age?
The recommended age to begin using Proactiv® Solution is 12 years and older, however the products are safe and effective for all age groups with adolescent and adult acne breakouts. For pre-teens, we recommend that you start slowly, by using the products every other day. However, if you are unsure, we suggest that you consult your healthcare professional or pediatrician, before using the products.
2. Is Proactiv® Solution TGA approved?
Yes, both the Proactiv® Renewing Cleanser and Repairing Lotion are registered with the TGA and have been through all relevant testing associated with this process. The Revitalising Toner and Oil Free Moisture are cosmetic products and do not require TGA approval; however, they do comply with all relevant Australian guidelines for cosmetic products.

Yes.
4. Does heat destroy the effects of Benzoyl Peroxide?
Yes, storage at room temperature is best.
5. Is Proactiv® Solution hypoallergenic?
Proactiv® Solution is not for people who are allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide or Sulfur. However, many of our ingredients were selected due to their hypoallergenicity.
6. Is Proactiv® Solution safe to use when tanning in a tanning salon (bed)?
Benzoyl Peroxide can make the skin more sensitive to the sun and tanning beds.

The quality of the water should not affect your results with Proactiv® Solution, however, we do not have scientific data to concur with or conflict this statement.

Yes, Proactiv® Solution can be used on any blemish prone area.
10. Are the packs available in larger sizes?
The 3-piece pack was created to last about sixty days with average use, twice a day. At the present time we do not have plans to create larger sizes.
11. Does Proactiv® Solution promote facial hair growth?
No, Proactiv® Solution is for the management of acne and is not intended to promote hair growth.
12. What is the difference between Cystic acne vs. Nodular acne?
Cystic acne is a very large type of pimple and Nodular acne is a smaller, red pimple. Large and usually painful nodules are inflamed, pus-filled lesions lodged deep within the skin. Nodules develop when the contents of a comedo (whitehead or blackhead) have spilled into the surrounding skin and the local immune system responds, producing pus. The most severe form of acne lesion nodules may persist for weeks or months, their contents hardening into a deep cyst. Both nodules and cysts often leave deep scars.

It is very unlikely that refrigeration will increase longevity. As a general rule, Proactiv® Solution products should not be exposed to extreme heat or cold temperatures, to preserve efficacy.

The fragrance is a combination of 4-5 ingredients. Each ingredient is tested for allergic reaction and approved by the governing body of fragrances controls RIFM (Research Institute of Fragrance Materials) to confirm that the fragrance has low irritation potential.
17. Does Proactiv reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles?
The Revitalising Toner contains Glycolic Acid, which is a mild AHHA. In our formula it's a cosmetic, therefore we say that it helps remove dead skin revealing younger-looking complexion.
