I first started breaking out when I was probably about 13 or 14 and obviously being in school you get taunted. I started working at a pharmacy and that’s when I really started noticing, because I was selling products to people to get rid of their child’s acne and I just couldn’t understand that they would actually believe what I was telling them when I was covered in pimples myself.
I’m quite a confident person, but the acne did affect the confidence level that I had, especially when at, probably around 18, when you’re going out and you’re single and trying to meet guys.
I was feeling really disheartened. All my friends really noticed that I had stopped going out and I stayed at home quite a bit. I was hibernating in the house and not going out with them and they started making comments about why and, you don’t really want to tell them that it’s because of a pimple because it really does sound embarrassing.
So, when Mum was home and she saw the ad on TV, and thought well, Stefani’s not having much luck with these other products so we’ll order it and see how it goes. And sure enough, she told me a couple of weeks later, just before it turned up, and it worked really well. Within about a month I noticed a big difference.
When I first used it, I just had all hopes for Proactiv, I was just hoping it wasn’t going to be another one of those products that didn’t work. And as the month went on and I started really noticing a huge difference I was just so excited with the product I couldn’t stop telling people about Proactiv.
Thanks to Proactiv, I don’t have to worry about hiding away. I can be confident. I can stand up in front of people and give a speech at uni, I would not have done that before. If I looked like that and had to get up in front of people, there is no way I could have felt as confident as I do now.
Before Proactiv, my skin felt oily and unclean, constantly, all the time unclean. But now, after using Proactiv, I feel fresh and clean all the time.
