Having acne is a drag. You're self-conscious; it's embarrassing. You just want to be normal. Whoever thinks acne is no big deal has never had any. You're stared at, you're judged, and if you're a kid, you're even picked on. And acne doesn't care how old you are. I started breaking out when I was about sixteen, and that's a tough enough age without a face full of pimples. I didn't get fine bumps, I got big red bumps. I hated it. Obviously, I didn't like the way my skin looked, and I didn't like the way it made me feel. So, I squeezed, just like everybody else would squeeze, and it just got worse. When I was growing up, there was nothing like Proactiv®. With my acne, I had to wait it out and hope for the best. I wore a lot of makeup. Even in my 20s and 30s I was still breaking out, and there wasn't anything that worked. Then one day, I tried Proactiv Solution after finding it for my teenage daughter. Within a week, I noticed an immediate change in the smoothness of my skin: fewer bumps, less redness. I've been a loyal customer for the past 6 years. What was so refreshing about when I found Proactiv later in life -- 20 years later -- I thought, "Okay, well, eventually this thing'll die down." But it hasn't worn off. It makes my skin feel really good. So it's my regimen, my daily skin care routine. I'm definitely hooked. Now I have my brother on it, my babysitter on it. If only we had it sooner!" |
